The approach
What does Spec-Driven Development mean?
It is an approach where a specification of expected behavior guides planning, tasks and development verification. This tool records that agreement in spec.md.
Do I need artificial intelligence to use this generator?
No. The generator uses your answers and local templates. It does not call AI models or translation services. You can use the documents with your team and, if you choose, as context for development tools.
Does the spec replace tests or code review?
The spec describes what should be checked. Tests and reviews provide evidence that implementation meets it. The initial ZIP contains no executed tests and does not prove that a system already works.
How do I use it with a legacy system?
Choose Legacy to document current observations or Migration to change the platform. Inventory, as-is specification, characterization and migration plan are added. Validate behavior with users and evidence before modifying it.

Which documents are generated?
Spec, plan, tasks, risk analysis, ADR, checklists, change request, PR description, constitution, controls and evidence retention, README, PENDIENTES and respuestas.json. New, Enhancement and Correction produce 16 files; Legacy and Migration produce 20.
Must I answer every question?
Common details and at least one requirement with behavior, success and error cases are required. Document questions are optional: each blank is identified in PENDIENTES.md for later resolution.
How do spec, plan and tasks differ?
The spec records the need and expected outcomes. The plan proposes the technical solution. Tasks break down work and link it to requirements and tests. Keep all three consistent when scope changes.
What do RF, RNF, RS and CA mean?
RF identifies a functional requirement; RNF, a nonfunctional one; RS, a security requirement; and CA, an acceptance criterion. Stable IDs link requirements, tasks and evidence without relying on document titles.
Does the package authorize production deployment or certification?
It is delivered as a draft. Human approvals, tests, evidence and checklists remain pending. ISMS control references organize the work and must be adapted to your organization.

Can I continue later?
Use Save answers as JSON before leaving. Then choose the same development type and import that file. The ZIP also contains respuestas.json. Closing the page does not automatically save your form.
Where are my answers stored?
For preview and ZIP creation, the server processes answers during the request without storing them in files, a database or the session. The session keeps the form protection token. Downloaded ZIP and JSON files are yours to manage; avoid credentials.
Does changing language translate my answers?
Español / English changes the interface, guidance, examples and package templates. With JavaScript it preserves entered values. Free-text answers retain their original language; write them in English for a fully English package.
Can I edit documents and use Windows or Linux?
Documents are Markdown and can be edited and added to your development repository. Bash, PowerShell and web share the engine and answers JSON. The console needs PHP 8.2+; PowerShell can also use Rocky’s PHP through WSL.
How do I add rows, requirements or adapt the stack?
The form accepts up to 100 RF. Initial templates keep three RNF, four RS and base actor, data and interface rows. Add necessary Markdown rows and adapt constitution, technologies, controls and estimates before approval.
